Whirlwind DS series digital snake offers exceptional performance, ease of use, and extreme flexibility. The DS168 comes with 16 inputs and 8 returns. CobraNet is the digital transport used, making DS series products excellent I/O devices for any CobraNet network. A DS168T/R system can be combined with a DS328T/R system to create a 48x16 channel digital snake. Apiece of Cat5e cable can be run for each system or both “T” units can be connected to an Ethernet switch at one end, while both “R” units are connected to an Ethernet switch at the other end. Asingle piece of Cat5e then connects the two switches.
