The RN.362.IR is an Inline Repeater to extend the CAT5 length between two RN.300 devices. The RN.362 is powered via the RockNet Network CAT5 cable (Remote Power). Thus, no additional power supply is required. To use the RN.362.IR it is required to equip the 19” RN.300 devices with the optional RN.300.RP remote power extension. The green LEDs between the Ethercon Link connectors (link input and link output separately) indicate the existence of build in remote power option. The RN.362.IR cannot be used between two interface cards that are directly connected via CAT5.
